Thanks for nothing Microsoft...

OK. This is a practice blog post and photo upload.....

On Friday I was told that my PC (on which I do all of my scrapbooking and photos) was kaput !

They were not able to retrieve anything, and I have lost about 4 or 5 months worth of photos.

I am very saddened by this, especially as I had nothing to do with the computer's demise, and the photos included our trip to Darwin, Christmas / New Years and the start of high school for Jacob.

An IE8 Automatic Update which downloaded and installed on my computer without my consent, has appeared to have erased my entire computer....thanks for nothing Microsoft !

So here I am now, on the mac laptop trying to learn how to get the best out of iphoto, as I don't think I'll be getting a new PC. I have finally figured out how to get the photos off the camera, and now uploaded and onto the blog - Yay !!! I was going to try Picasa for mac, but I think for now iphoto will do the trick. I was pleased to see though that there is Picasa available for macs !!!
Please...learn from my experience and remember to back up your hard drive and your photos regularly !
