Evie & Birdcage 4 !

When I saw this bird cage and little birdie, (Birdcage 4) I knew immediately what I was going to do with it. I wanted to capture that rusty, rustic, shabby chic feeling, so, I have treated the bird cage with Tim Holtz Crackle Paint (Picket Fence). The bird I have covered with Prima Watercolour paper and sanded around the edges.

I was very pleased with how well the 2Crafty chipboard took the crackle paint, and then the final result. I elected not to prime the chipboard first, as that would have produced another look entirely ! I really love the fact that it looks like a "rusty old birdcage" for such minimal effort !

Don't forget to have a go at Anthea's sketch, and to keep on commenting here on the blog, for your chance to win some fabulous 2Crafty chipboard ! Entries close at the end of the month, so be quick !
Good luck and Happy Scrapping !
